| The butterfish is a silver-shining shoal fish with a long back and anal fin. The scales are very small. It belongs to the family of tuna fishes and may reach a weight of 25 kg. The meat is white to cream-coloured and has a spicy taste. Related species can also be found in the Indian Ocean and West Pacific. |
